Green Way Transportation ("Green Way," "we," "our," or "us") is a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) provider serving the Greater St. Louis area and surrounding Missouri communities. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, transportation services, or text message program.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact & identity: name, email address, mailing address, and mobile/landline phone number.
- Trip & scheduling details: pickup and destination addresses, appointment dates and times, trip purpose (e.g., dialysis, doctor visit, hospital discharge), mobility or equipment needs, and companion/rider information.

- Usage data: device type, browser, pages visited, and approximate location derived from your use of the website and app.
- Payment data: billing details processed through our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information

- Dispatch drivers and communicate pickup, arrival, and status updates.
- Send ride confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule changes, cancellation notices, and customer-support messages.
- Process billing and account management.

- Comply with legal obligations and healthcare-facility requirements.
3. SMS & Text Message Data
When you opt in to our text message program, we collect your mobile number and the content of the messages you send and receive for transportation-related notifications. Consent is captured only when you check the SMS consent box — unchecked by default — on one of our website forms (Schedule a Ride, Quick Ride Request, Driver Application, Partner Inquiry, or Contact) and submit it. Details are on our SMS Opt-In page. We use your mobile number solely to send the message types described on the opt-in page and in our SMS Terms and Conditions. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact customer support at 877-749-9618 or scheduling@greenway-transportation.com.
SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS communications are used only to provide the services requested by the customer and to send the transportation-related messages described in our SMS Terms and Conditions.
Green Way Transportation sends only transactional and service-related text messages, including ride confirmations, appointment reminders, driver assignments, driver arrival notifications, Driver Portal verification codes, applicant communications, scheduling updates, cancellations, and customer support messages. We do not send unsolicited marketing text messages.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Drivers and dispatch staff to the extent necessary to complete your trip.
- Healthcare facilities and partners who arrange transportation on your behalf.
- Service providers such as our SMS/Twilio sub-processor, payment processor, and scheduling software, under agreements that protect your data.

Although we use trusted service providers (such as our SMS delivery provider) to deliver messages on our behalf, we do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal and healthcare record requirements, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data, including limiting access to authorized personnel.
